Introduction

The EKI-8528 series is a 19” rackmount L3/L2 modular managed switch engineered as a power-plant-grade solution for mission-critical networks. Providing up to 24 Gigabit ports and 4x10GbE uplinks, this high-performance switch supports advanced routing protocols (OSPF, VRRP, PIM) with a 4.5K routing table to ensure seamless data exchange across large industrial infrastructures.

Built for harsh power utility environments, it features heavy industrial hardware with superior EMC resistance against extreme electrical noise and temperature fluctuations. Addressing critical OT security, the series is fully compliant with the IEC 62443-4-2 cyber security standard, delivering robust component-level protection, enhanced authentication, and access control to safeguard infrastructure from cyber threats.

Featuring flexible Ethernet (RJ45/SFP) and redundant power modules, the EKI-8528 provides exceptional modular versatility. It acts as a highly secure, resilient backbone engineered for demanding environments, including IEC 61850-3/IEEE 1613 power substations, renewable energy sites, and mission-critical data centers.
